Artist Biography

Icons of Childhood, Kyle Reicher's exhibition at Braunstein/Quay Gallery showcases everyday ephemeral objects that to a child are imbued with meaning and magic: a balloon defying gravity, a kite catching the wind, a piñata filled with sweets

In fabricating these whimsical objects out of steel, Reicher freezes time and space, reminding us that the world is still full of magic. The work functions subtly as autobiographical, reflecting Reicher's recurring themes and current state of mind.
